(Agave sp. Sierra Mixteca FO-076)
This plant is native to Sierra Mixteca, Oaxaca, Mexico. This is a Felipe Otero collection collected in June of 1984 as Agave sp. nova. It is still unclear as to exactly what this plant is, but most botanists consider it a form of Agave titanota, while some believe it to be a natural hybrid of Agave titanota and Agave horrida. The plant grows to about 2-3 feet wide and tall with thick leaves and very chunky hooked teeth. Grow this plant in full sun to partial shade.
