Thelocactus bicolor v. parras
This plants habitat ranges from southern Texas to central Mexico. With this vast habitat range, this is a very variable species. This variety name most probably refers to the location of the population (Parras de la Fuente in Coahuila Mexico) This variety name does not appear in any literature that we could find. It does appear slightly different in that the spines create a colorful and tight forming birds-nest. It grows best in full sun to light shade. Give the plant moderate water during the growing period and little to none while it is dormant. The flower is pink with some white tones.
