This plant is native to Sonora, Durango, Jalisco and Aquascalientes, Mexico. This plant has soft leaves that can have a slight twist and recurve back, resembling an Octopus. This plant stays solitary, it does not offset. However, when it blooms, it will produce many bulbils. This plant grows best in full sun to partial shade. This plant needs water when growing and very little to none during the dormant time. Flowers are a yellow/green.
