This plant is native to Coquimbo and La Serena, Chile. Most plants freely offset to form a cluster, some faster than others. Forms a large taproot, careful watering is a must. Water this plant sparingly in the spring/summer and keep dry over the winter time. Overwatering will cause this plant to split. This plant typically offsets to form nice size clumps. The flowers are yellow.
