This plant is native to the coastal desert of Northern Chile. Dark brown/copper/purple stem with short grey/white spines and a fluffy white woolly apex and large taproot. This plant will slowly offset to form a cluster. This plant does best in light shade to full sun. Water sparingly from March to October and keep it dry in the winter. The flower is a yellow color.
Typically, the plants we offer are single heads, although some will have offsets.
