This plants habitat is Chile. This is the actual plant that you will receive. This plant has a very dark purple to almost black stem with jet black spines. The plant grows best in filtered sun to light shade. Water the plant in the summer but let it dry out during the winter. This plant has a large taproot and is rot prone, so make sure it is planted in a deep enough pot with good porous soil and not overwatered. The flower is a yellow/brown color.
