Gymnocalycium ochoteranae 'vatteri'
This plant is native to Argentina. Grow this plant in filtered light/light shade. This is a slow growing, usually solitary plant but can pup from the base with age. G. vatteri is highly variable regarding spine type, this plant has short curly grey/tan spines. Water the plant regularly during spring/summer but keep it predominately dry during the winter months. The flowers are white to pink and can have a brown-red throat.
