This plant is native to Mexico in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sinaloa and Sonora and some southern parts of Arizona, USA. This plant will slowly branch from the base to form a shrub-like cluster of tall columnar stems. The plant grows best in full to part sun and is a slow grower. Water the plant during its growing season, but keep dry during dormancy.
