Mammillaria glassii var. Dulces Nombres
This plant is native to Cerro del Viejo and Dulces Nombres, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. This variety has larger flowers and was named after the town of Dulces Nombres. Also sometimes seen as Mammillaria glassii var. Dulces Nombres. This plant has short straight or hooked central spines with lots of wispy white radial spines that resemble hair covering the plant. It freely offsets to form a small cluster of many heads. This plant grows best in full sun to partial shade. Water the plant in the summer and give little to none during the winter when it is dormant. The flower color is a pale pink with a darker mid-stripe.
