This hybrid plant is of Garden origin, created by one of our good friends. Shallow ribs, lightly flecked, nice fluffy areole tufts and randomly spined. These are very strong growing plants. The plant stays dark green but can show some purple tones in strong sunlight. The flower is a pale yellow color.

This plants origin is Mexico (Queretaro, Hidalgo). White flecking is variable from plant to plant, some have heavy flecking, some have light flecking. Monk�s Hood is the common name. Yellow flowers.
Austrocylindropuntia � Opuntiads from South America.
Austrocylindropuntia Baker 5/30 Pot Size: 3.5� Price: $5.50
This plant is native to Bolivia. This is an unusual plant to find in a cactus collection. This is an undescribed species originally collected by Will Baker of England with the number 5/30. In Kieβling�s book, Tephrocactus and Other Prickly Pears, he writes �probably a new species; originally from Will Baker/England with the collector�s number 5/30. Not comparable to any other plant described in literature.� In strong sun some of the stems turn a reddish purple color. The other stems have greenish/cream/white tones making it a very colorful plant! Usually this plant does not have spines. Water in the summer but let it dry out during the winter. The flower is a dark vivid magenta color.
Cintia � A monotypic genus comprising of just one species. From high in the Bolivian Andes Mountains.

This plant is native to Bolivia. C. knizei usually grow solitary but can clump with age. Small globose dark brown/olive green body without spines. Large taproot. Incredibly vivid bronze/yellow flowers.

Copiapoa � Incredible and highly variable plants from Chile, South America.

This plant is native to Chile. Very similar to C. hypogaea but with more spines and wool. Brown/bronze body color. Usually offsets to form a mound. Yellow flowers with green tones.		3 This plants habitat is in the coastal deserts of northern Chile, Antofagasta. The body color will eventually change from its very dark green/brown color for more of an olive green color as it matures. The flower is a yellow color.

This plant is native to northern Chile. As a juvenile the body color can range from purple to brown to olive green. As the plant matures it turns a blue/grey/green color and will eventually grow a creamy wool tuft at the apex. Golden brown to black spines. Yellow flowers with pink tones.		This plant is native to Chile. The spines on this plant are long and jet black. Somewhat similar to C. cinerea, but with a more open spination and tends to offset more. As with other Copiapoa, the juvenile body color will change, but not as dramatic with C. dealbata. The flower is yellow.

This plants habitat is in Northern Chile. This plant can be solitary or can slowly clump with age. This is a variable species and this seedling has the nice real dark body with the almost pure black spines. Others can have a more olive green/brown color and the base of the new spines are a light glassy tan color. The flower is a yellow bloom.		This plant is native to Chile. Medium to light green body with grey and black spines. Body color can vary or change with age. Plants are usually solitary for quite a while, but will eventually offset to form a clump. Bright yellow flowers.

This plant is endemic to the Atacama desert in Chile. Pale green body with light creamy yellow tufts at the apex, eventually offsetting to form a large clump. Tan to golden yellow spines. Pale yellow flowers.		This plants native habitat is in the coastal deserts of Chile. Dark brown/bronze body with very short black spines. White wooly tufts form at the apex. Yellow flowers. NOTE: Number of offsets (if any) will vary from plant to plant.

This plant is native to Chile. This may be the most recognizable Copiapoa of the genus. Densely covered in soft white spines, this is certainly a wonderful species. Found in a comparatively small population in the hills north of the city of Taltal in Chile. These plants may stay solitary or can produce offsets and form a clump. Yellow flowers.		This plants habitat is the Atacama Desert, La Madera, Guanillos Valley & Las Lomitas, Chile. This is the smallest Copiapoa species within the genus. It will slowly offset to form a tight clump of multiple heads. The flower is a yellow bloom.

This plant is native to Chile. Bright green body with jet black curvy spines and a large taproot. Wooly tuft at the apex and upper areoles. In strong sunlight the body can show some very dark green to bronze colors. Yellow flowers.		This plant is native to Northern Chile. Dark brown/green body with short white/grey spines. White wooly tufts form at the apex. Plants can offset with age. Yellow flowers.
Copiapoa tenuissima fma. monstrose Pot Size: 3� Price: $16.50
This is a nursery produced cultivar. It grows best in light shade with moderate water during the summer and little to no water during winter. It has yellow flowers. This plant is delightfully unpredictable! Some plants have more white wool than others, some offset profusely with tiny heads, others offset with larger heads and others grow solitary for awhile. Never a dull moment! A great addition to any cactus collection. NOTE: Plant size and number of offsets (if any) will vary from plant to plant.
Copiapoa sp. �Tigrillo� Pot Size: 3.5� Price: $10.00		NOTE: March 2011: We�re still working on figuring out just what this plant is. There is an invalid Karl Knize name floating about (Copiapoa tigrillensis) of which Rudolf Shulz places as Copiapoa longistaminea. This may be a good candidate, but locating photos and other solid info about C. tigrillensis will need to be carried out. NOTE: July 2011: Going off the Tigrillo Valley area as the location this plant was found�After further research, only 4 species grow in the Tigrillo Valley area. C. longistaminea, C. taltalensis,C. columna-alba and C. grandiflora. We feel confident ruling out C. columna-alba and C. grandiflora so that leaves just 2. Other resources suggest C. sp. �Tigrillo� is an intermediate form of C. longistaminea and C. columna-alba, but those photos do not match the plant we have here. Further research will be needed to clear this up. From other knowledgeable growers, it�s been suggested as C. megarhiza. However, C. megarhiza does not grow in the Tigrillo Valley area. So if we go by the Tigrillo Valley location, C. taltalensis and C. longistaminea are the most probable candidates and to go along with the experience and knowledge of Rudolf Shulz, it may just be a form of C. longistaminea.
This plant is native to Chile. Dark brown/bronze body color with bright golden yellow/grey/black spines. This is a slow growing clumping cactus. The flower is a golden yellow.

This plant is a solitary species starting out as globular then later becoming short cylindrical. The flower is yellow.		This plant is native to Arizona, USA and Sonora, Mexico. Dark green body with tan/white spines. White wooly areoles and a large tuft at the apex. As the plant matures, dark tipped central spines that recurve back towards the body. One specie is found in the West Indies, Caribbean. NOTE: We have quite an extensive collection of Cylindropuntia species. If you don�t see what you are looking for, drop us an email and we might be able to provide you a fresh cutting. We don�t list these plants as they are part of our personal collection.
Cylindropuntia bigelovii Teddy Bear Cholla � Pot Size: 4� Price: $5.00 ROOTED CUTTINGS		Cylindropuntia �campii (Natural hybrid between C. bigelovii and C. acanthacarpa) Red Teddy Pot Size: 4� Price: $5.50 ONE (1) FRESH STEM CUTTING NOTE: March 2011 Previously offered as Cylindropuntia �fosbergii but upon further research, the correct name should be Cylindropuntia �campii. This plant came to us with the common name of Red Teddy Bear Cholla. While at the time we thought it to be correct, common names should (almost) always be questioned. C. �fosbergii has the common name of Red Teddy, while C. �campii has the common name of Red Cholla. Still a natural hybrid with one of the same parents, C. bigelovii, but crossed with C. acanthacarpa. We appologize for any confusion caused, but as taxonomy goes, we are always learning.

This plant is a natural hybrid from the El Paso, TX area. Parentage: E. fendleri � E. dasyacanthus. This plant has the nice multi-colored brown/white spines of E. fendleri. Some plants show more E. dasyacanthus with shorter spines giving it more of a shaggy look. The flower form can vary between the 2 parents. The flower is a large purple/magenta color that can vary somewhat.		This plants general habitat ranges in the Southwest USA and northern Mexico. This is a Horst K�nzler collection. This is a slow growing Echinocereus species with stems that stay small and compact growing to about 6-10� tall and 3-4� in diameter. This plant will slowly offset with age. The flower is a dark purple/magenta

This plants habitat is Queretaro, Mexico. This plant forms a tuberous root. This plant grows sprawling thin stems that are covered in with soft fur like spines. The flower is bright pink.		This plant is native to The USA in New Mexico, South Dakota and Texas. This miniature plant will offset to form a low growing clump. The flower is yellow/green. The variety name 'montanus' is actually an invalid name, it originated from a Horst K�nzler catalog name. Despite being invalid this name has been accepted among collectors. We did read that the plant refers to var. gracilispinus. Probably a high elevation form of the variable viridiflorus species.
