This plant is native to Southern Africa and Botswana. This plant forms a fat base that stays dark green in color if kept in shade. Keep out of strong sun because the caudex can burn and lose the nice green tones. Water in the summer but let it dry out during the winter. When cold, the plant drops its leaves. Keep it dry at this time or it will rot. The flower is a greenish/crème color and the plant will form a nice caudex. Adenia glauca is a dioecous species. Meaning it has Male plants and Female plants. One of each are required for making seed.
